As a Release Control Analyst with 5-8 years of experience, your role will involve overseeing various aspects of release management, build and configuration management, automation and integration, governance and compliance, and collaboration for efficient software releases. Your responsibilities will include: - **Release Management & Control:** - Plan, coordinate, and execute software releases across different environments. - Ensure adherence to release processes to minimize risks and downtime. - Track and document release activities to comply with governance standards. - Establish and maintain release schedules in collaboration with development and operations teams. - **Build & Configuration Management:** - Manage build processes for .NET-based applications. - Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. - Oversee configuration management for consistency across environments. - Optimize release automation and integration processes. - **Automation & Integration:** - Develop and maintain automated workflows for release and deployment enhancement. - Integrate Azure DevOps with other tools for streamlined management. - Focus on database release automation, particularly with SQL Server and Cosmos DB. - **Governance & Compliance:** - Ensure releases comply with governance policies and maintain audit trails. - Conduct risk assessments for software releases and manage rollback strategies. - Implement security best practices and access control in release management. - **Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:** - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline release cycles. - Resolve release-related issues promptly and improve processes through automation. - Document release procedures, best practices, and lessons learned. **Qualifications Required:** - 5-7 years of experience in Release Management, Build and Release Engineering, and Configuration Management. - Proficiency in SQL Server, .NET Framework, Cosmos DB, and Azure DevOps. - Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, build automation, and deployment tools. - Strong understanding of SDLC, DevOps principles, compliance, governance, and security best practices. - Experience with cloud platforms like Azure or AWS. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. - Availability for UK Shift and on-call support. The educational qualification required for this role is a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
