Position Title: Lead- External Communication (AGM/GM)

Role Overview
media relations, crisis management, social media, consumer PR, and leadership profiling
Key Responsibilities:
Media Relations & PR
- Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, media houses, and industry influencers.
- Lead external communication campaigns to enhance corporate reputation and brand visibility.
- Develop press releases, media kits, and editorial content (content creation is in-house).
- Handle crisis communication promptly and effectively to protect brand image.
Digital & Social Media Management
- Manage and grow the company's LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook corporate handles.
- Oversee website content updates, SEO initiatives, and ensure alignment with brand positioning.
- Support marketing in paid digital campaigns, ensuring consistent messaging across platforms.
- Drive strategic use of social media for thought leadership, stakeholder engagement, and reputation building.
Leadership Profiling & Thought Leadership
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities for senior leaders at industry events, conferences, and summits.
- Manage award nominations for leadership and organizational recognition.
- Develop profiles, keynote content, and presentations to position leadership as industry thought leaders.
Strategic Communication Support
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to craft messaging for campaigns, product launches, and leadership communications.
- Work seamlessly within a matrix organization and multi-tasking environment.
- Partner with external agencies and leverage an existing agency network for PR and digital support.
Team Management
- Operate as an individual contributor or manage a lean team of 12 members, ensuring delivery of high-quality communication outputs

Skills & Qualifications
- 1012 years of experience in external communications, media relations, or corporate PR.
- Strong exposure to the food & beverage or consumer industries is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to manage crisis situations and respond with agility.
- Strong expertise in social media strategy and execution for corporate or leadership branding.
- Excellent content writing and storytelling skills (content creation to be done in-house).
- Experience in leadership profiling including events, conferences, awards, and speaker management.
- Hands-on experience in SEO and digital campaigns.
- Ability to navigate matrix organizations and handle cross-functional collaborations.
- Established network with agencies for onboarding and partnerships.
- Strong organizational skills, multitasking ability, and high attention to detail.
