Lead ETL DataWarehouse Testing Engineer

You should have a minimum of 9 to 12 years of experience in the field. Essential requirements include proficiency in Python, prior experience in team handling, and expertise in ETL/data warehouse testing utilizing tools like DBT, Informatica, Snowflake, and SQL. The ideal candidate must possess 8-11 years of experience in various aspects of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) such as defect management, test strategy designing, planning, and approach. You should be adept at understanding test requirements, designing test plans, and creating test cases. Additionally, having at least 6 years of work experience in UI, database, and ETL testing is crucial. Any exposure to AWS/cloud-hosted applications would be beneficial. A key requirement is hands-on experience in writing complex database queries, preferably using PostgreSQL, Snowflake, MySQL, and RDS. You must also have a minimum of 3 years of experience in executing, maintaining, and enhancing automation scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, and programming languages such as Python. Familiarity with BDD Gherkin, Behave, and Pytest is essential. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential for this role. You should be capable of leading a team of at least 2 people and have experience with Agile methodologies like Scrum and Kanban. Proficiency in MS Power BI reporting and understanding of front-end vs back-end validation would be advantageous. As part of your responsibilities, you will play a lead role in ETL, UI, and database testing, as well as team management. You will be responsible for developing detailed test cases and test data, validating ETL workflows, and executing automation scripts. Collaboration with cross-team subject matter experts and integration of test automation into CI/CD pipelines are also key responsibilities. In this role, you will guide a team of testers, institutionalize best practices in testing processes, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance testing approaches. Your ability to provide data-backed feedback and metrics consolidation to senior leadership will be crucial for the success of the project.
