Lead ETL Data Engineer

As a Lead ETL Data Engineer at DATAECONOMY, a fast-growing data & analytics company with headquarters in Dublin and offices in Dublin, OH, Providence, RI, and an advanced technology center in Hyderabad, India, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines to ensure seamless data integration across platforms. In this position, you will lead a team of ETL developers and collaborate closely with data analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver data solutions in a cloud environment. Your responsibilities will include leading the design, development, and optimization of ETL processes using tools like Talend, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines, ensuring data quality, consistency, and performance, working with relational and NoSQL databases, implementing data warehouse solutions on AWS or other cloud environments, guiding and mentoring a team, collaborating with various stakeholders, monitoring and troubleshooting ETL performance issues, optimizing database performance, and automating error handling strategies. To excel in this role, you are required to have at least 10 years of experience in ETL development and data engineering, expertise in ETL tools like Talend, Informatica, or Apache NiFi, strong proficiency in SQL and database optimization, hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka, a solid understanding of data modeling, warehousing, and governance, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and prior experience in leading technical teams.
