Job Description

**Role Overview:** As a Lead Offshore Instrumentation Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the instrumentation and control (I&C) discipline in offshore oil & gas projects. Your role will involve managing the design, engineering, and implementation of control and instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and project requirements. You will need to demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide a team of engineers and designers, while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, cost-effective, and high-quality solutions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage instrumentation engineering activities for offshore oil & gas projects (concept, FEED, detailed design, EPC). - Review and provide guidance for the preparation of all discipline engineering and design deliverables such as instrument index, specifications, datasheets, BOM, location Plan, JB and Cable schedule, 3D model, loop wiring drawings, etc. - Complete or review calculations for control valves, PSVs, flow meters, and thermo wells. - Provide guidance/work on field instrumentation, valves, and gas chromatograph system. - Prepare or provide guidance for the preparation of control system design, procurement, and implementation. - Review instrument hook-up, installation, and location design. - Requisitions for quotation and purchase. - Review vendor documents and quotations for compliance with project requirements. - Participate in project design reviews. - Prepare cost/manpower estimates, bid evaluations, and project proposals. - Perform inter-discipline squad checks. - Review instrument database content per P&IDs. - Conduct shop inspections and Control System FAT/SAT. - Perform site surveys. - Attend risk management meetings such as HAZOP and SIL. - Conduct technical audits and quality reviews. - Support site pre-commissioning activities. **Qualifications Required:** - B. Tech/B.E. in Instrumentation. - 15-20 years of basic and detail engineering experience in Offshore, Upstream Oil & Gas, Refinery, & Petrochemical industry. - Knowledge of International Codes & Standards and Best Engineering Practices related to Automation. - Familiarity with Quality management system and procedures. - Understanding of Project management and control procedures. - Proficiency in Automation workflow and interdisciplinary co-ordination. - Experience in Project Risk Assessment. - Adherence to HSE norms. - Proficient in understanding P&IDs and Process Control. **Additional Details:** The company values diversity and inclusion, offering family-friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, and employee networks to support staff from different backgrounds.
