Lead Engineer Safety

As a Process Safety Engineer, your role will involve: - Knowledge & experience on studies like HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, LOPA for process systems & facilitating the same. - Participating in Management of Change, Risk Assessment, PSSR. - Performing Dispersion Analysis using PHAST. - Participating in Incident Investigation. - Leading Plant Process Safety Audits. - Experience in understanding P&IDs with respect to various equipment, instruments, and processes. Ability to review P&IDs from a safety perspective and provide comments. - Experience in understanding logic and interlocks with respect to various systems. - Responsible for facilitating, identifying, evaluating, mitigation planning, prioritizing for closure, verification, periodic review, follow-up, and tracking the effectiveness of process safety hazards. - Following up for closure of safety study recommendations. - Training plant personnel on Process Safety procedures. - Technical evaluation of vendor specifications for process safety items and equipment. - Interface with Leads of other departments to reflect the as-on-date input from other departments, as applicable in the case of projects where safety inputs are relevant. - Good communication skills are a must and should be proficient in technical writing in English. Qualification & Experience required: - Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred. - 10 years of experience in operations/process safety in oil & gas/petrochemical/similar industries. - Proven experience in process safety management within oil & gas/petrochemical/similar industries. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess technical information and identify safety risks. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels. - Experience in leading process hazard analysis, LOPA, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation. - Certification in process safety management is a plus. - Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to fostering a culture of safety excellence. - Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies for data analysis and risk assessment.,
