As a highly skilled and motivated QA Lead Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the quality assurance efforts for our IoT-enabled mobile applications and devices. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining automation frameworks, ensuring comprehensive test coverage, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-quality solutions. You will lead the QA strategy for mobile applications and IoT devices, focusing on identifying and resolving complex testing issues to guarantee seamless end-user experiences. Advocating for and implementing process improvements and QA automation strategies aligned with organizational goals will be key aspects of your role. Additionally, you will align the QA roadmap with business objectives, ensuring scalability and adaptability for future projects. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in managing and mentoring a team of QA engineers to ensure the effective execution of test plans. You will also develop and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automation scripts for mobile apps and IoT devices, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end test coverage across various devices, platforms, and network conditions. In terms of automation framework development, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust frameworks for mobile apps and IoT device testing using industry-standard tools. This includes ensuring the scalability and reusability of automation scripts to support CI/CD pipelines and optimizing automation processes to enhance efficiency and reduce time-to-market. As part of your role, you will analyze logs, monitor performance, and identify root causes of issues in mobile apps and IoT devices, collaborating closely with developers to debug and resolve defects promptly. Defining and tracking quality metrics such as defect density, test coverage, and automation pass rates will be essential, and you will deliver detailed reports on QA outcomes, highlighting risks and recommendations for improvement. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 10+ years of experience in QA, with at least 2 years in a lead role. - Strong expertise in mobile app testing (iOS/Android) and IoT device testing. - Proficiency in automation frameworks such as Appium, Selenium, or similar tools. - Hands-on experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). - Solid understanding of REST APIs, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other IoT communication protocols. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Git or Azure DevOps. - Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure IoT platform). - Knowledge of security testing for IoT ecosystems. - ISTQB or equivalent certification.
