Lead Engineer - PCB Layout Design

As a Senior PCB Design Engineer at Silicon Labs, you will be responsible for layout design activities such as floor planning, routing, and gerber creation based on design requests. Your role will involve communicating with cross-functional teams for input and reviews, collaborating with global teams, and ensuring quality work for fabrication and assembly support. Key Responsibilities: - Design PCB layout, including component placement, and complete layout design. - Generate artifacts for fabrication and assembly. - Ensure PCB design is in accordance with IPC standards. - Assist in resolving EQs post artwork delivery during fabrication. - Follow the process and workflow defined by Silicon Labs for project execution. - Mentor team members on technical aspects related to PCB design. - Conduct DFx compliant PCB design activities. - Lead small-to-mid sized teams or mentor junior engineers. - Stay updated on emerging PCB technologies, tools, and design methodologies. - Drive process improvements and tool enhancements to increase design efficiency and product reliability. Skills You'll Need: - M.tech. or B.Tech. in Electronics Eng. (or equivalent education) with over 10 years of experience in high-speed and mixed signal PCB layout design. - Ability to read and interpret PRD and schematic design. - Proficiency in reading mechanical files for drawing study and implementing floor planning for PCB design. - Experience with Altium, OrCAD, and PADS for schematic capture packages. - Familiarity with IPC guidelines and various PCB technologies. - Knowledge of RF layout design is a plus. - Understanding of high-speed board design and EMI/EMC considerations. - Hands-on experience in electrical design, component selection, and DFM. - Knowledge of PCB fabrication, assembly activities, including reflow cycles. - Proficiency in BOM development and management for developmental and production programs. - Background in mechanical assembly/fabrication. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with manufacturing and engineering teams. - Knowledge of test-jig development. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with efficient decision-making skills. Qualifications Considered a Plus: - CID/CID+ certified by IPC. - Layout simulation knowledge.,
