Lead Developer/Architect (Java)

About the Role: BMW Techworks India is seeking an experienced Lead Developer/Architect with over 8 years of industry experience to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge mobility solutions. As a hands-on technologist, you will utilize your expertise in programming, cloud platforms, and DevOps to create secure, reliable, and high-performing systems. Joining BMW's global engineering network, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of connected automotive technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and oversee the development of scalable, cloud-native applications on AWS, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for streamlined provisioning. - Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices. - Drive automation and enhance efficiency in DevOps pipelines and CI/CD deployments. - Utilize a core programming language (Java, Python, or C++) to develop critical components and architectural prototypes. - Ensure system integrity and performance by leveraging relational databases like NoSQL, along with effective monitoring and logging tools. - Incorporate secure coding practices, perform security testing, and support compliance requirements. - Collaborate cross-functionally within an Agile environment to deliver top-tier solutions for enterprises. - Employ Git and GitHub for version control and team collaboration. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development, system design, and architecture. - Demonstrated proficiency in cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and solid knowledge of IaC tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation. - Extensive experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, and infrastructure monitoring/logging solutions like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK. - Strong understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and secure software development lifecycle. - Expertise in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, Python, or C++. - Hands-on experience in Agile development environments and collaborating with distributed teams.,
