Description
The Senior Engineer works closely with the Application Owner and Product Administrator to design and deliver solutions in ServiceNow that align with the business requirements. If you are the ideal candidate for this role, you should possess extensive experience in ServiceNow and its associated modules, with a clear understanding of how different components can be leveraged to achieve specific outcomes. You will also be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation for the implemented processes to ensure accurate interpretation by others. Effective communication is a key aspect of this role, involving interactions with enterprise applications leadership, business analysts, key stakeholders, and internal development resources. As a proactive self-starter, you will be comfortable navigating all phases of the software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include engaging in detailed communication with stakeholders, hands-on development, and conceptualizing solutions for implementation. Responsibilities: - Development: Scope, design, and execute solutions as requested by application owners, exploring multiple approaches. Lead the development of intricate ServiceNow applications, modules, and integrations while adhering to best practices for efficient and maintainable code. Customize and extend ServiceNow modules using JavaScript, REST APIs, HTML, and other relevant technologies. - Configuration and Customization: Collaborate with ServiceNow administration to build complex operational workflows behind the scenes. - Continuous Improvement: Evaluate existing functionality and processes to identify opportunities for scalability and performance enhancement. - Integrations: Support integrations with other technologies by collaborating with developers of other products and the Integration Data Management team. - Documentation: Develop technical design documentation outlining solution architecture, workflows, data models, integrations, and user interfaces. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Analytics, or equivalent experience. Minimum Experience Requirements: - 6+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development, including CSM, ITSM, HR Service Delivery, ITAM, ITOM, and SecOps modules. - 8+ years of overall experience in Development, with the ability to manage or lead at least 5 team members. - Proficiency in designing and developing playbooks within CSM using the CSM Agent Workspace. - Familiarity with Flow Manager, Scheduled Script Executions, notifications, building applications, and custom widgets. - Strong skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and REST APIs within the context of ServiceNow development. - Experience in integrating with enterprise systems such as HRIS, ERP, CRM (Netsuite, SFDC, ADP, UKG, HubSpot). - Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex technical requirements to non-technical individuals. - Ability to work independently in complex projects with significant responsibility. - ServiceNow certifications (CAD, CIS, CSA) are highly preferred. - Thorough understanding of SDLC processes.
