LEAD DESIGN ENGINEER - TURBINE

Role Overview: You will be responsible for leading the design engineering activities related to Turbine in the Turbine Engineering department. Your role will involve executing basic and detailed designs for Pump Storage Projects (PSPs), Large Hydro conventional projects, and Large Refurbishment projects. Designations for this position range from Senior Manager to Deputy General Manager (DGM) based on your experience. Key Responsibilities: - Perform basic and detailed design of Turbine assemblies and components. - Create layouts, drawings, Bills of Materials (BoMs), purchase specifications, calculations, and analysis. - Continuously improve product and processes for optimization. - Provide technical troubleshooting support at the shop and site. - Handle customer queries and approvals for both Indian and International projects. - Collaborate on design and reviews with technical experts from the parent company in Europe. Qualification Required: - Education: B.E./ M.E./M. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable Institute. - Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical design of Hydro Turbines using 3D CAD software (NX and TeamCenter preferred). - Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering design concepts and materials. - Experience in technical troubleshooting, proactive, avid learner, team player with good communication skills. - Languages: Proficiency in English and Hindi. - Product Know-How: Hydro Turbine Design & Engineering, including the entire product life cycle. Additional Details: Working as part of the Turbine engineering team will also expose you to the entire hydro-power plant machinery, including generators, governors, excitation systems, protection and control systems, mechanical balance of plant, electrical power systems, penstocks, and gates. You will also gain understanding of various manufacturing processes (welding, machining, coating, casting, forging) and knowledge of a variety of materials required for turbine construction. Exposure to international projects and on-the-job work/reviews at the parent company location in Europe may also be part of your responsibilities.,
