Lead Data AI/ML Engineer - Vice President

As a Lead Data AI/ML Engineer - Vice President at Barclays, you will spearhead the evolution of the Corporate Data Services function. Your role will involve effective stakeholder management, leadership, and decision-making to support business strategy and risk management. **Key Responsibilities:** - Participating in daily stand-up meetings to discuss progress, blockers, and plans for the day. - Working on deploying AI/ML models into production environments using AWS services like Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions. - Building and maintaining data pipelines using Spark and Python to ensure seamless data flow and integration. - Collaborating with data scientists, software engineers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide technical solutions. - Monitoring the performance of AI/ML models in production and optimizing them for better efficiency and scalability. - Documenting processes, workflows, and best practices to ensure knowledge sharing and compliance with governance standards. **Qualifications Required:** - Proven experience in data engineering, AI/ML model deployment, and working with Cloud services. - Proficiency in AWS Glue, Lambda, and Step Functions for data processing and orchestration. - Strong experience with Apache Spark for large-scale data processing. - Advanced skills in Python for developing data pipelines and integrating AI/ML models. - Experience in deploying and operationalizing AI/ML models in production environments. - Solid understanding of data engineering principles, including ETL processes, data warehousing, and data integration. - Experience working within the Financial Service environment. - Proven ability to lead and mentor a team, fostering collaboration and ensuring project goals are met. - A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field. - Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty, AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty, or other AWS certifications related to data engineering and AI/ML.
