Lead C Developer

As a Lead C# Developer at Barclays, you will be spearheading the evolution of the digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. To be successful in this role, you should have experience in the following: - C# .NET programming of scalable enterprise solutions - Strong ability to understand complex systems with a large number of interacting components, distributed systems - Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes Some other highly valued skills may include: - Familiarity with Redis - Proficiency with tools such as Gitlab Duo, Agile methodologies, code management, CI/CD pipelines, etc. - Familiarity with the Python programming language and gRPC - Experience in middleware or caching technology for client-server environments, such as Solace, Kafka In this role, you will design, develop, and improve software using various engineering methodologies to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues. Your key accountabilities will include: - Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. - Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. - Collaboration with peers, participation in code reviews, and promotion of a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Staying informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contributing to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. - Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. - Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
