As an API developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing APIs to meet business requirements. You will collaborate with front-end and back-end teams to integrate user-facing elements using server-side logic. Additionally, you will integrate third-party APIs and develop middleware to enhance system interoperability. It will be your duty to maintain and enhance existing APIs to improve functionality and performance. Monitoring and troubleshooting API issues to ensure minimal downtime and high availability will be a crucial part of your role. You will also create and maintain comprehensive API documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Writing unit, integration, and load tests to ensure API robustness and reliability will be essential. Optimizing API performance, including caching strategies, database optimization, and response time reduction, will also fall under your responsibilities. Working closely with QA teams to identify and resolve defects will be necessary. You will conduct code reviews to ensure that API code adheres to best practices and coding standards. Effective communication with stakeholders to understand requirements and provide updates will be a key aspect of your role. Key skills required for this position include: - 3+ years of experience in API development and integration - Experience with API management tools (e.g., Postman, Swagger, etc.) - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) - Knowledge of database systems - Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Language Required: Python Preferred qualifications include knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes, experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, previous experience in Agile/Scrum development environments, and travel system development experience would be an advantage.,
