Roles & Responsibilities:Responsibilities

• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
• Plan and perform integration activities at component, sub-system and system levels. Document designs and verification activities.
• Design, Implement and test security changes at operating system and application layers.
• Maintain code quality through best practices, unit and integration testing, and test automation.
• Diagnose application or system performance problems and optimize or improve them while maintaining quality. Perform diagnostic development augmenting what comes from IHV and/or ISV.
• Perform performance issues triage and resolution when spanning hardware, firmware and software layers.
• Understand research and industry trends in Compute, containers, virtual machines, Cyber security, Linux OS and packaging technologies
• Driving increased efficiency across the teams, eliminating duplication, leveraging product and technology reuse.
• Support process improvements which guide development, sustaining & support activities.
• Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
• Proactively sharing information across the team, to the right audience with the appropriate level of detail and timeliness.

Work Experience

Requirement Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering 
• Experience with SLES15 Operating system.
• Experience with object oriented and modular Linux OS programming.
• Experience in Linux software packaging, scripting tools such as Bash, Python, Perl.
• Hands-on experience in implementing Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIGs)
• Working knowledge in configuration management tools such as Git.
• Working knowledge of JAVA/C++ and web technologies - Angular JS/Node JS.
• Working knowledge of databases and PL/SQL.
• Working experience in running NESSUS scans, analyzing the results and taking mitigation steps.
• Experience with Software Automation.

Desired Characteristics

• Working experience with implementing OpenSCAP.
• Familiarity with Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS).
• CISSP Certification will be an added advantage.
