Lead analyst, Tax

As a Lead Analyst, Tax at Colt, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely compliance with all direct and indirect tax regulations, statutory filings, and group tax reporting requirements. Your responsibilities will focus on managing GST, income tax, TDS, regulatory submissions, and responding to tax notices. By safeguarding the organization's tax compliance framework, you will minimize risks and facilitate smooth coordination with tax authorities, auditors, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Ensure accurate and timely filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 & 9C) and reconciliations. - Prepare and file TDS returns, advance tax, and income tax returns. - Manage regulatory filings such as SFT, Master Filing. - Support tax audits and provide required documentation to auditors and authorities. - Draft and submit responses to GST and Income Tax notices promptly. - Handle Form 15CA/15CB for remittances and ensure compliance with import shipment documentation. - Support group-level tax compliance requirements. - Prepare annual tax pack and related reports for consolidation and management reporting. - Ensure adherence to internal controls and company policies. - Identify areas of risk in tax compliance and propose corrective measures. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulatory changes impacting the business. - Collaborate with internal teams, statutory auditors, consultants, and tax authorities. - Provide guidance to team members on tax compliance matters as required. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
