Job Title: Test Lead - Selenium Java API Testing (Wealth Management) Location: Bangalore/Hyderabad/ Chennai/ Pune /Mumbai Job Type: Full-time work Mode : Hybrid Introduction: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Test Lead with expertise in Selenium, Java, and API testing to join our team in the Wealth Management domain. As a Test Lead, you will be responsible for leading the testing efforts for our web and API-based applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables for critical Wealth Management systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and guide the testing team in delivering robust and scalable solutions. Responsibilities: Test Leadership & Strategy: Lead the testing strategy for Selenium-based automation and API testing within the Wealth Management space. Coordinate with stakeholders, including developers, product managers, and business analysts, to define testing requirements and scope. Manage and guide a team of testers, ensuring that the testing process aligns with project objectives and timelines. Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for Selenium automation (UI) and API testing. Design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver , Java , and other relevant tools. Oversee the execution of test cycles, analyze results, and track defects/issues through their lifecycle. Ensure all applications meet functional and non-functional requirements (performance, security, etc.) through comprehensive testing. API Testing: Lead the development and execution of API tests using tools like Postman , RestAssured , or SOAP UI . Automate the testing of RESTful APIs, validating endpoints, payloads, error responses, and performance under load. Ensure proper integration and validation between front-end (UI) and back-end (API) systems within the Wealth Management platforms. Automation Framework Development: Architect and maintain reusable, scalable, and maintainable Selenium test automation frameworks in Java. Continuously improve test coverage and test effectiveness through automation and integration into CI/CD pipelines. Team Mentorship & Collaboration: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior and mid-level test engineers. Review test scripts, results, and defect reports, providing feedback and guidance to the testing team. Work closely with the development team to understand application architecture, perform testability assessments, and identify areas for test automation. Defect Management: Track and manage defects using defect management tools (e.g., JIRA). Facilitate defect triage meetings and ensure timely defect resolution. Collaborate with developers to ensure root cause analysis and resolution of defects. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare and present test progress, results, and risk assessments to stakeholders and leadership. Maintain comprehensive documentation for test plans, scripts, results, and defects. Required Skills & Qualifications: Experience : 5+ years of experience in test automation, including Selenium WebDriver and Java . 2+ years of experience in leading and managing a testing team, particularly in Wealth Management or Financial Services . Hands-on experience with API testing , using tools such as Postman , RestAssured , or SoapUI . Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integrating test automation into them. Proven experience with test case design, test execution, defect tracking, and test reporting. Technical Skills : Expertise in Selenium WebDriver for test automation with strong Java programming skills. Experience with API testing tools (Postman, Rest Assured, SoapUI). Knowledge of SQL for database testing and validation. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Experience with Jenkins , Maven , or other build tools for automation integration. Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of Wealth Management processes, systems, and financial products. Experience with testing applications related to wealth management, trading systems, portfolio management, or financial reporting is highly preferred.
