Lead AI Engineer, AVP

**Job Description** **Role Overview:** As a Lead AI Engineer in the Innovation team of the TDI Chief Strategy Office at Deutsche Bank, your role involves leading technical teams to identify, evaluate, and execute data- and AI-driven innovation projects. You will design and build high-quality software products that utilize AI and other advanced data-driven technologies to create sustainable value for the Bank. Your responsibilities include practicing hands-on and servant technical leadership, being responsible for the technical delivery of innovation projects, and working in a cross-functional team to identify, evaluate, and execute data- and AI-driven innovation projects. Additionally, you will contribute to identifying and evaluating applications of these technologies by providing technical insight to your team and stakeholders across the Bank. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and build high-quality software products using AI and advanced data-driven technologies for creating sustainable value. - Practice hands-on and servant technical leadership, supporting and guiding your team of engineers. - Take responsibility for the technical delivery of innovation projects and act as a trusted advisor. - Work in a cross-functional team to identify, evaluate, and execute data- and AI-driven innovation projects. - Provide technical expertise to identify applications of technologies and communicate effectively to technical and non-technical audiences. **Qualification Required:** - University degree in a technical or quantitative field, preferably a Masters or Doctoral degree. - 5+ years of experience in applying AI, machine learning, and/or data science. - Experience in leading technical teams developing high-quality software. - Strong knowledge of Python and another programming language, AI, data science frameworks, and cloud platforms. - Excellent communication skills in English. - Practical experience in finance and banking is desirable.
