Role & responsibilities Detailed Design: Performing detailed design for civil structures, foundations, and other civil elements within GIS/AIS substations. Layout Engineering: Developing substation layouts, considering civil requirements and interface with electrical components. Structural Calculations: Performing necessary structural calculations for substations. Interfacing with Disciplines: Collaborating with electrical engineers, mechanical engineers, and other specialists to ensure project integration. Project Management: Monitoring project progress, ensuring adherence to schedules, and managing project deliverables. Adherence to Standards: Ensuring compliance with relevant international and local standards and regulations. Documentation: Preparing detailed civil drawings, specifications, and reports. Preferred candidate profile Significant experience (8+ years) in civil design, with experience in substation or power transmission projects. Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, ETABS, STAAD), strong understanding of civil engineering principles, and knowledge of relevant standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders. Ability to identify and resolve design issues and manage projects effectively. Experience with high-voltage substations (up to 765kV) is highly desirable. Knowledge of GIS/AIS systems is also beneficial. Experience with relevant design software and analysis tools is expected.
