Design & Technical Support Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications for fabrication. Provide inputs for manufacturability and process improvements. Coordinate with the design and tooling team for new product development (NPD). 3. Quality & Productivity Ensure first-time-right production by implementing quality checks during fabrication stages. Monitor rejections, rework, and take corrective/preventive actions. Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S). 4. Machine & Tool Handling Operate/monitor CNC laser cutting, turret punching, bending, and welding machines. Ensure preventive maintenance and upkeep of fabrication machinery. Suggest tooling and fixture improvements to reduce cycle time. 5. Coordination & Reporting Coordinate with production planning, purchase, and assembly teams for smooth workflow. Track daily production vs. targets and report to management. Support in customer audits, ISO/TS documentation, and compliance requirements. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes and machines. Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings (AutoCAD/SolidWorks). Knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and surface finishing. Exposure to Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices. Good analytical, problem-solving, and team-handling skills. Educational Qualification & Experience: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. Certification in Fabrication / Welding / CAD-CAM preferred. Experience: 15 years in sheet metal fabrication, preferably in electrical/automotive/engineering industry.
