Position Title: Laser Machine Operator

Department: Production / Fabrication

Reporting To: Production Supervisor / Plant Manager

Location: Coimbatore, karumathampatti

Role Overview

The Laser Machine Operator is responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machines to produce high‑precision components as per engineering drawings and production schedules. The role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation

• Operate CNC laser cutting machines (Fiber) as per job requirements.
• Load and unload raw materials and finished parts safely.
• Set up machine parameters, cutting speeds, and power levels based on material type and thickness.
• Perform basic programming or select pre‑loaded programs as required.

Quality & Inspection

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, cutting lists, and work orders.
• Measure and inspect cut components using calipers, gauges, and other tools.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish meet quality standards.
• Identify defects and report non‑conformities to the supervisor.

Maintenance & Safety

• Perform routine machine cleaning, lens inspection, and basic preventive maintenance.
• Monitor machine performance and report abnormalities.
• Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and shop‑floor discipline.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain production logs, material usage records, and job completion reports.
• Update daily production sheets and coordinate with the production team.
• Ensure proper labeling and storage of finished components.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Hands‑on experience with CNC laser cutting machines
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and understand tolerances.
• Knowledge of sheet metal materials (MS, SS, Aluminium)..
• Strong attention to detail and quality orientation.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Education & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in laser cutting operations (freshers with training can also be considered).

Work Environment

• Fast‑paced fabrication and production environment.
• Requires standing for long periods and handling sheet metal safely.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
