Laser Machine Operator

As a Laser Machine Operator, your primary responsibility will be to operate and maintain laser cutting, engraving, or marking machines to produce precision components, products, or designs. This role demands technical expertise, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. You will report to the Production Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager and collaborate closely with the production team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare laser machines for production by loading materials, selecting cutting or engraving parameters, and aligning materials properly within the machine. - Operate laser machines to cut, engrave, or mark materials like metal, wood, plastic, glass, and other substrates. - Perform routine maintenance tasks on laser machines, including cleaning optics, checking gas levels, and replacing worn components. Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine issues to minimize downtime. - Adhere strictly to safety protocols while working with potentially hazardous laser beams and materials. Ensure the correct utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE). - Maintain accurate production records, machine settings, and any program or process adjustments. Document maintenance activities and encountered issues. - Collaborate with design teams, engineers, and other team members to address project requirements, tackle design challenges, and maintain effective communication during production. **Qualifications Required:** - Previous experience as a Laser Machine Operator or in a similar CNC machining role is highly preferred. - Familiarity with different materials and their behaviors during laser processes. - Basic knowledge of laser optics, focusing techniques, and gas systems. - Understanding of safety procedures in a laser manufacturing environment. - Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and perform manual tasks. - Strong problem-solving skills and flexibility to adapt to changing project needs.
