Job Description

Create 2D/3D part drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks). Understand customer requirements, drawings, and special instructions. Interpret customer drawings, specifications and material details. Provide suggestions on material selection, thickness and design feasibility. Optimize design for manufacturability, bending allowance, welding fit up, and tolerance control. Prepare flat patterns and nesting ready files. Ensure accuracy, quality and feasibility before sending to production. Generate CNC programs for fiber laser cutting machines (DXF,DWG, AI formats). Prepare optimized nesting layouts to reduce material wastage. Issue detailed job sheets to machine operators. Clarify design or programming doubts raised on the shop floor. Coordinate with the bending and welding sections for fabrication sequence. Ensure smooth workflow between design, programming, and production. Check sample cut pieces and ensure dimensions match drawings. Ensure machine utilization is optimized and downtime is reduced.
