Job Description

Position:

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and specialized microbiological investigations including culture, sensitivity, and identification of microorganisms.
Ensure proper specimen processing, media preparation, and maintenance of culture stocks.
Conduct antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) and interpret results accurately.
Monitor and maintain aseptic techniques throughout laboratory operations.
Perform internal quality control (IQC) and participate in external quality assurance (EQA) programs.

Receive and verify tissue specimens as per standard protocols.
Perform tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and routine/special staining procedures.
Prepare slides for microscopic examination and ensure high-quality results.
Handle and maintain histopathology instruments such as microtomes, tissue processors and embedding stations.
Maintain proper labeling, documentation, and tracking of samples.
Support pathologists in slide preparation and assist in immunohistochemistry (IHC) procedures if required.
Participate in internal and external quality assurance programs.
