Lab Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Civil Lab Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for instructing and guiding students in various laboratory experiments related to civil engineering, ensuring proper understanding of theoretical and practical concepts. This role includes maintaining lab equipment, preparing materials, and supporting academic goals in a hands-on learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct and supervise lab sessions in areas such as

• Soil Mechanics
• Concrete Technology
• Material Testing
• Surveying
• Environmental Engineering
• Demonstrate proper use of lab equipment and techniques.
• Ensure student safety and adherence to lab protocols.
• Assist in developing lab manuals, instructional materials, and assessment tools.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
• Collaborate with faculty to align lab activities with course objectives.
• Provide guidance to students on projects, experiments, and technical reports.
• Maintain inventory and request necessary supplies in a timely manner.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and order in the lab at all times.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s preferred for higher education institutions).
• Prior experience in a lab teaching or technician role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials and testing standards (e.g., ASTM, IS codes).
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to explain complex concepts clearly and effectively.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with academic environments and student engagement strategies.
• Proficiency in basic data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with lab safety regulations and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
