Lab Assistant Trainee Footwear Industry (Ajanta Shoes India Pvt. Ltd.)

Qualification

• Bachelors Degree in

  Chemistry

  (B.Sc. with Honours or equivalent)

Job Purpose :

To support laboratory testing, analysis, and quality control activities related to footwear materials such as rubber, polymers, adhesives, leather, and textiles, while gaining hands-on industrial laboratory experience.

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in

  physical and chemical testing

  of raw materials and finished footwear components
• Perform routine tests on

  rubber, EVA, PU, PVC, adhesives, solvents, and coatings

• Prepare

  chemical solutions, reagents, and samples

  as per standard procedures
• Record test observations, data, and results accurately in lab registers or software, making of Test Reports
• Support

  quality control (QC)

  and

  research & development (R&D)

  activities
• Maintain

  laboratory equipment

  , cleanliness, and safety standards
• Follow

  SOPs, ISO, and safety guidelines

  strictly
• Assist in

  failure analysis

  and basic troubleshooting of materials
• Coordinate with production and quality teams when required

Skills & Knowledge Required :

• Basic knowledge of

  analytical chemistry

  and laboratory practices
• Understanding of

  polymers, rubber chemistry, and materials science

  (preferred)
• Familiarity with lab instruments (e.g., tensile tester, hardness tester, ovens) is a plus
• Good observation, documentation, and reporting skills
• Willingness to learn industrial testing standards (ASTM, ISO, SATRA – if applicable)
