Job Description

Role: Lab Administrator Fulltime (Work from office Monday to Friday) Location: Bangalore Software/hardware testing or system administration Lab maintenance and Audits Maintain and track a comprehensive inventory of lab equipment Receive devices, track shipments provide Lab Maintenance services for the Google Android/Google TV Test Engineering Teams, to ensure smooth operation, upkeep of a dedicated Android testing lab and ensure the lab environment is organized. Devices would be Android and/or Google TVs Device Shipments and Setup: Receive devices, track shipments setup of newer devices Maintain and track a comprehensive inventory of lab equipment Must have device setup and Android knowledge Resource needs to be able to acquire, track and distribute devices (Dogfood as well as production) Development work Check Sanity & functionality of shipped devices Update the devices with latest builds, troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning devices Software updates to devices, Issue reporting, triaging, tracking and coordinating with the team assist in the debugging and troubleshooting of the continuous build and test lab infrastructure help running the test plans in the lab in collaboration with the Google teams when necessary Device Health Track daily status of device uptime and involve in upkeeping of test beds Ensure stakeholders are adequately informed of System downtime, power issues Interact with Google REWS for Lab maintenance and Audits Deliverables requirement: A detailed device inventory report is maintained and is given access to key stakeholders Inventory report will include all attributes relevant to the respective device including ownership , software version, health status etc Perform Inventory audits at regular intervals Must have Device preparation and shipping of devices Android understanding is a must Qualifications: Bachelor degree on Computer Science or related engineering focuses 3+ years on software/hardware testing or system administration Fluent in written and oral English
