Job Description

As an L3 Network Engineer at RVS iGlobal, you will play a crucial role as the technical escalation point for network issues. Your responsibilities will include leading the design, implementation, and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures. You will work on enterprise-grade routing, switching, LAN/WAN, VPN, firewall, and data-center networking. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, mentor junior engineers, and drive process improvements. Key Responsibilities: - Troubleshoot and resolve complex L3 networking problems (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MPLS, SD-WAN). - Design, configure, and maintain core network devices (routers, switches) and firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.). - Implement and manage VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL VPNs, DMVPN). - Monitor and optimize network performance using network monitoring tools (like PRTG) for health checks, alerts, and capacity planning. - Perform firmware or OS upgrades on network devices while ensuring minimal disruption. - Conduct root-cause analysis for recurring network issues and document resolutions to prevent future incidents. - Create, maintain, and audit network documentation including diagrams, configuration backups, runbooks, and change records. - Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices. - Mentor and support L1/L2 network engineers, providing technical guidance and training. - Lead network infrastructure projects such as upgrades, migrations, and network deployments in data center or branch environments. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. - 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, particularly with L3 (routing/switching) support. - Deep understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS, BGP, OSPF, and other routing protocols. - Experience with enterprise firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.). - Proven skills in configuring and managing VPNs (site-to-site, remote VPN). - Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools (such as PRTG or similar). - Certification such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent strongly preferred. - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. - Willingness to work with cross-functional teams and mentor junior staff. - Experience in maintaining network documentation and configuration backups.
