Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned and dynamic Deputy General Manager Site Head to lead the execution of a large-scale 400 MW ground-mounted solar project from inception to commissioning. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and comprehensive project management skills in the renewable energy sector, particularly in utility-scale solar installations. As the Site Head , you will be responsible for end-to-end project execution including scheduling, procurement coordination, stakeholder management, regulatory compliance, and quality delivery—ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in solar power project execution and strong leadership capabilities to manage multidisciplinary teams and contractors across all phases of project development. Key Roles and Responsibilities To manage large-scale 400 MW ground-mounted solar project from scratch till commissioning. Preparation of L2 Schedule and scratch plan till completion and handing over of the project. Preparation of detailed Procurement Plan in consultation with Engineering & Procurement functions. Oversee entire Project Management activity to ensure on-time delivery of all components and within budget. Maintain and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of the project. Understand local liaisoning (including government, local vendors and contractors, civilians); communicate with utilities and authorities regarding interconnection, permitting, and other regulatory compliance issues. Drive execution of the projects, keeping them on schedule and within budget , while maintaining relationships with clients, stakeholders, and vendors. Maintain top-quality customer service with clients, lenders, and all stakeholders. Evaluate subcontractor’s progress reports to manage project risks. Prepare S-Curve , weekly & monthly targets for each construction activity. Preparation of RFQs for construction packages . Present project progress, key findings, and recommendations. Conduct weekly calls with contractors along with the site team to discuss project progress. Take ownership of project budgets , including cost of permits and fees, third-party consultants, and construction costs (off-site & on-site). Take ownership of project schedules for construction and delivery. Coordinate and conduct project meetings and provide weekly progress reports to the client. Assist in preparation and negotiation of construction bid amounts and contract terms. Work closely with Business Development team members for backend support. Provide site evaluation and due diligence including hiring consultants and oversight where required. Desired Candidate Profile Qualification: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Experience: 15–20 Years (Minimum 10 years in solar ground-mounted projects) Should have executed a minimum of 1000 MW utility projects across the tenure, including ground-mounted projects. Must have delivered at least one project of 300 MW+ capacity as a Project Manager over CTU/STU Network . Should be technically sound in Solar Plant and Power Substation Systems (PSS) .
