Synopsis of the Job : Senior Accountant- Solar Projects Location: Tamil Nadu Industry: Renewable Energy / Solar Projects Experience: Minimum 5–8 years in project-based accounting Qualification: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter Job Summary: Responsible for managing end-to-end project accounting for solar power projects, ensuring statutory compliance, financial reporting, and cost control. Key Responsibilities: Project Accounting: for CAPEX and OPEX. Track expenses against budgets and prepare cost analysis. Ensure accurate capitalization of assets after commissioning. Monitor vendor bills, site expenses, and material inward/outward registers. Compliance & Taxation: Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, and Professional Tax. Ensure compliance with MNRE, TANGEDCO, and other state regulatory requirements. Reporting & Controls: Prepare monthly MIS, cash flow statements, and budget variance reports. Payroll & Admin (as applicable): Process payroll for project-based and HO staff. Maintain records for contract labor payments and compliance. Interact with EPC contractors, consultants, and government departments for payment and documentation. Required Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP, Excel, and preferably project management software (e.g., Primavera, SAP).
