Kotlin API Microservice Developer

Role Overview: As a Developer, your role involves quickly analyzing requirements in terms of JIRA stories or epics, ensuring timely completion of development based on provided solution designs, and taking ownership of implementing any service from development to go-live while providing necessary support in a DevOps environment. You should have a proactive approach towards incidents and defect fixing, as well as conducting root cause analysis on code during various testing phases. Key Responsibilities: - Write secure and quality code following current industry benchmarks and organizational standards. - Develop unit tests aiming for 100% test coverage for any new code, maintaining overall coverage above 90%. - Address technical debts and refactor old code for improved efficiency and performance when necessary. - Collaborate closely with customer stakeholders such as Engineering Squad leads, product owners, and other members of the scrum team. - Have a basic understanding of Agile methodologies and actively participate in daily scrum calls. - Suggest microservice best practices and design patterns. - Recommend technology/framework upgrades when applicable. - Maintain a high level of awareness regarding industry and organizational security standards. Qualifications Required: - Previous experience in software development, particularly in writing secure and quality code. - Familiarity with unit testing and maintaining test coverage. - Proficiency in Agile methodologies and participation in scrum calls. - Knowledge of microservice architecture and design patterns. - Ability to propose tech/framework upgrades and adhere to security standards.,
