Job Title: 4G/5G Cellular Certification Testing & Automation Testing Engineer. Location: Bangalore Experience: 4 to 8 Years Join Time: Immediate to 30 Days. Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled 4G/5G Cellular Certification Testing Engineer with experience in both manual and automation testing for cellular protocols, along with hands-on expertise in certification processes such as PTCRB, GCF, FCC , and carrier certifications (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile). The candidate will be responsible for leading device testing, automation framework development, and managing end-to-end certification cycles. Key Responsibilities: Perform manual and automated testing of 4G/5G protocol, RF, and application-level functionalities. Lead and execute certification testing processes including PTCRB, GCF, FCC , and carrier certifications (AT&T, Verizon, TMO, etc.). Design and implement automation test scripts and frameworks for cellular device testing (using Python or other scripting languages). Conduct regression, stability, IOT (Interoperability Testing), and field testing using test tools and automation setups. Debug and analyze logs using QXDM, QCAT, QTRACE, Wireshark , and similar tools. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, certification labs, and carrier teams to address and resolve test issues. Maintain detailed documentation for test plans, test cases, defect logs, and certification reports. Stay up to date with the latest 3GPP standards , carrier requirements, and certification processes. Required Skills & Experience: 4 to 8 years of hands-on experience in 4G/5G mobile device testing and certification. Experience with PTCRB, GCF, FCC , and at least one US carrier certification process . Strong understanding of LTE, LTE-A, 5G NR (NSA/SA), VoLTE, VoNR technologies. Proficiency in using test tools such as Anritsu, Keysight, R&S, Spirent , etc. Experience with automation testing frameworks and scripting languages (preferably Python , but Shell, Perl, or JavaScript also valued). Hands-on experience with log analysis tools ( QXDM, QCAT, etc. ) and debugging protocol/RF issues. Good understanding of 3GPP protocol stack , network signaling, and call flows. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with major chipset vendors (Qualcomm, MediaTek, etc.). Prior work on test automation frameworks for embedded/mobile device testing. As a RAN Test Engineer at our company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our 5G RAN solutions. You should be a skilled and detail-oriented Test Engineer with 5-7 years of experience in both manual and automation testing of gNodeB product code. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and executing manual and automated test cases for 5G gNodeB (RAN) features. You will need to have a strong understanding of 3GPP NR protocols, especially Layer 2/3 components, and experience with automation tools like Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar. You will be responsible for performing end-to-end testing using commercial UEs to validate gNodeB functionality and user-plane performance. You will be leading the Wafer Electrical Test (E-Test) and Wafer Sort Test module team for a 300mm Wafer Fab. Your role will involve ensuring quality compliance across 28nm to 110nm nodes with technology transfer partners. Collaborating with SCM and suppliers to procure top-tier tools, probe-cards, and consumables will be a crucial aspect of your responsibilities. Managing a 24x7 production test floor team of engineers and technicians will be part of your daily tasks. You will define floorplans and ensure capacity with Facilities and Industrial Engineering teams. Driving process improvements, test time reduction, and debug algorithm efficiency will also be under your purview. Coordination with integration and customer teams on test chip layouts and probe-card design will be essential. Your role will involve ensuring operational excellence, meeting performance KPIs, conducting competitor benchmarking, and developing technology roadmaps. Presenting updates to internal and customer senior executives will also be part of your responsibilities. Travel will be required as needed.
