This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop cable designs, estimate production costs, and optimize manufacturing processes to meet customer requirements and company objectives. Key Responsibilities Cable Design & Development Design and develop cables based on customer specifications, industry standards, and application requirements. Prepare GTPs, QAPs, and costing weights against enquiries. Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and prototypes using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks). Draft and manage detailed work orders for production and client needs. Generate and interpret technical drawings and cable construction data sheets. Ensure adherence to LT (Low Tension) and HT (High Tension) cable standards and specifications. Coordinate with the manufacturing team regarding cable construction, design, and quality aspects. Cost Estimation & Optimization Prepare accurate cost estimates for cable designs, including raw materials, labor, and manufacturing processes. Qualifications Education: B.Tech, B.E., B.Sc., Diploma Experience: Proficient in Excel-based calculations for cable design and costing. Technical Knowledge: IS 694, IS 1554-1, IS 7098-1, BS 5308 (Part 1 & 2), BS 50288. Strong knowledge of instrumentation cables. Proficiency in computer applications and MS Excel. Familiarity with relevant standards (Indian Standards, IEC, British Standards).
