Key Responsibilities: Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Windows/Linux servers (physical and virtual). Monitor server performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Manage backups, disaster recovery, patch management, and system updates. Maintain Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core services. Networking: Configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls. Monitor network performance, resolve issues, and ensure optimal uptime. Maintain network security protocols, including VPN, VLAN, and intrusion detection/prevention systems. Collaborate with ISPs and vendors to maintain connectivity and service levels. Security & Compliance: Implement and enforce security policies, standards, and procedures. Perform regular system audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO). Support & Documentation: Provide Level 2/3 support for server and network-related incidents. Document configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines. Train and support junior IT staff as needed.
