Kathak Dance Instructor

The Kathak Dance Teacher will train students in the rich tradition of Kathak, fostering discipline, creativity, and artistic excellence. You will be responsible for guiding students through the technical and expressive aspects of the dance form while integrating cultural and historical knowledge. This is a fulltime, non-residential position located at KSVs campus. REQUIREMENTS Degree in Kathak from a recognized institution Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Kathak to students of varying levels Strong understanding of laya, tukras, todas, paran, and improvisation Experience working with live tabla accompaniment Passion for teaching and mentoring young dancers RESPONSIBILITIES Teach Kathak dance to students of varying skill levels Prepare students for performances, examinations, and cultural events Collaborate with tabla accompanists and musicians for live dance practice Instill an appreciation for the history, philosophy, and aesthetics of Kathak FACILITIES Competitive salary and benefits depending on experience Living allowance provided if from outside Karnataka State KSV is an equal-opportunity employer INTERESTED Before 15/03/25, send your resume to: resume@ksv.org.in,
