Job Description

Title : Damping Controller for Integrated Power Systems with renewable energy source and Plug-in Electric Vehicles: Addressing

Communication Delays and Cybersecurity Threats.

Tenure : 3 years

The selected candidate will be required to design robust control algorithms for wide area damping control in power systems under cybersecurity threats, incorporating renewable energy sources and plug-in electric vehicles.

The proposed algorithm should be validated using a real-time simulator (Opal-RT).

The selected candidate will be eligible to register for the Ph.D. program at VIT, Chennai, subject to the institute rules and regulations.

Essential qualification

M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Power System, Control System, Power
Electronics). Preference will be given to candidates who are GATE/NET qualified.

Fellowship

Rs. 37,000/- per month + HRA will be provided for the first two years, and Rs.

42,000/- per month + HRA for the third year, as per norms.
