Junior Research Analyst

Role Overview: You will be responsible for contributing to equity research on quantitative indicators/models that drive the construction of high frequency trading strategies. Your role will involve developing trading strategies, from idea generation and data collection to analysis and model creation. You will be expected to extract predictive signals from financial data through statistical analysis methods, analyze a large amount of data, and develop prediction algorithms/regression models. Furthermore, you will be required to formulate and apply mathematical modelling techniques to enhance existing trading strategies and perform innovative new research to identify and capture trading opportunities. Applying analytical and simulation techniques to analyses model performance, processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis will also be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Contribute to equity research on quantitative indicators/models for high frequency trading strategies - Develop trading strategies from idea generation to model creation - Extract predictive signals from financial data through statistical analysis - Analyze large data sets and develop prediction algorithms/regression models - Formulate and apply mathematical modelling techniques to enhance trading strategies - Apply analytical and simulation techniques to analyze model performance - Process, cleanse, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis Qualifications Required: - Strong academic record in a quantitative discipline - Demonstrated capacity for first-class research and tackling in-depth projects - Proficiency in time-series analysis, statistical estimation, scenario analysis, or numerical optimization - Curiosity for model development and experience with large data sets - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Proactive ability to lead assignments and deliver research results in a timely manner - Creativity, attention to detail, and clear communication of complex ideas If you are looking for a challenging role in equity and derivatives research and strategy making, this full-time position in Ahmedabad might be the right fit for you.
