Junior Project Engineer

Your Role & Responsibilities

• Project Coordination & Buildability

  Assist in reviewing project drawings and resolving buildability issues with consultants and team members.

• Subcontractor Coordination

  Support Site Managers in coordinating subcontractors, ensuring smooth project execution.

• Contracts & Administration –

  Assist with contract admin tasks, including subcontractor performance, variations, and budget tracking.

• Project Planning & Scheduling –

  Help create and update project programs using MS Project & Procore, including short-term planning.

• Budget & Cost Monitoring –

  Assist in tracking preliminary budgets, forecasting cash flow, and managing variations.

• Health, Safety & Compliance –

  Support implementation of OH&S procedures and review compliance with environmental requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

• 2 to 5 years' experience in construction or a related role (or relevant studies).
• Familiarity with Procore or similar construction management software (preferred, but not required).
• Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related fields preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills – ability to work with multiple teams.
• Basic understanding of construction processes and site operations.
• Proficiency in Google Suite & Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project, etc.).
• Ability to be involved and work on multiple projects.
• Experience in Australian industry will be added advantage.
