Junior Procurement Analyst

As a Junior Procurement Analyst at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting our procurement and sourcing functions. Your responsibilities will include: - Analyzing procurement data to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process inefficiencies. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards, reports, and KPIs to support strategic purchasing decisions. - Tracking and analyzing company spend across categories and suppliers to identify areas of high expenditure and opportunities for consolidation or negotiation. - Monitoring and evaluating vendor performance based on quality, cost, delivery, and compliance, and providing data-driven recommendations for vendor selection, renewal, or replacement. - Conducting research on market trends, pricing benchmarks, and new suppliers to support sourcing strategies based on market insights and business needs. - Assisting in preparing and evaluating Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs), analyzing quotation data, and supporting decision-making for supplier selection. - Supporting the procurement team in identifying and implementing cost reduction initiatives, analyzing price variances, and suggesting improvements to purchasing strategies. - Tracking key contract terms, renewal dates, and compliance requirements to ensure procurement activities align with internal policies and legal standards. - Recommending and supporting the implementation of process improvements in procurement workflows and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance sourcing efficiency. - Working with procurement software/tools (e.g., ERP, Excel, Power BI) for data analysis and reporting, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date procurement records and databases. - Liaising with internal departments such as finance, operations, and legal to align procurement goals and supporting procurement leadership with data insights and strategic input. Skills Required: - Ability to analyze procurement data, identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and performance gaps. - Proficiency in using Excel functions like pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas to manage and visualize procurement data. - Strong understanding of sourcing, vendor evaluation, RFQs/RFPs, and contract management. - Effective collaboration with vendors and internal teams, and clear presentation of insights to support decisions. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Economics, Engineering (for technical procurement roles), or Finance/Accounting (preferred for data-focused roles). - 1 year of experience in procurement.
