Job Title: Junior Pharmacist Assistant

Position Overview:
The Junior Pharmacist Assistant supports the licensed pharmacist in the daily operations of the pharmacy. This role is ideal for someone beginning their career in the pharmaceutical or healthcare field. The assistant helps with dispensing tasks, customer service, inventory management, and general administrative duties to ensure efficient and safe pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the pharmacist in preparing, labeling, and packaging medications under supervision.
• Help manage and organize pharmacy inventory, including stocking shelves and checking for expired products.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, including answering basic questions and directing patients to the pharmacist for medical or prescription-related guidance.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pharmacy workspace.
• Support administrative tasks such as filing prescriptions, updating records, and handling basic data entry.
• Assist with over-the-counter (OTC) product sales and provide general product information (without offering medical advice).
• Uphold all pharmacy regulations, safety standards, and confidentiality rules.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of medicines and pharmacy operations is helpful but not required.
• Good communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work accurately, follow instructions, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Willingness to learn and support the pharmacist in all routine tasks.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced pharmacy or medical setting.
• Requires standing for long periods, light lifting, and regular interaction with customers and healthcare professionals.
