Junior officer-Boiler

To ensure smooth and uninterrupted operation of the boiler by maintaining optimal steam pressure and flow as per process requirements while ensuring compliance with safety and maintenance standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operate the boiler and its auxiliaries including:

• ID Fan, FD Fan, PA Fan
• Boiler Feed Pump
• LP & HP Dosing Pumps
• Coal Feeder

Ensure smooth operation of:

• Coal Handling System
• Ash Handling System
• Bed Material Drain & Charge
• PA Line Flushing

Conduct physical inspection and cleaning of:

• Furnace
• Super Heater
• Economizer
• Air Pre-heater (during plant shutdown)
• Monitor and maintain:
• Boiler performance and pressure
• Required steam flow for process/turbine/refinery operations
• Effective capacity utilization under load fluctuation scenarios

Maintain:

• Daily log sheets
• Workplace cleanliness and hygiene
• Boiler control room & coal plant housekeeping
• Communicate effectively with other process departments for smooth plant operations
• Ensure strict adherence to safety standards and report any unsafe conditions to the concerned authority

Required Skills and Knowledge

Strong technical understanding of:

• Steam generation
• Mechanical systems
• Quality ash handling
• DCS/PLC systems for boiler operation
