As a Junior Designer Menswear at Nicobar, you will be a part of our design tribe and play a crucial role in bringing our menswear collections to life by merging craft with contemporary global design while staying true to Indian sensibilities. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support in creating seasonal collections that reflect Nicobar's evolving menswear language. - Work on mood boards, sketches, and design development, from idea to sample. - Explore textile techniques, craft processes, and trims that add subtle depth to the range. - Prepare spec sheets, tech packs, and artworks that communicate the design story clearly. - Partner with sampling, production, and merchandising teams to bring designs to life. - Participate in fit trials and quality reviews to ensure the right balance of comfort and design integrity. - Stay curious, explore new qualities and silhouettes relevant to a mindful, modern wardrobe. - Contribute to shoots and styling discussions, ensuring every piece feels true to the Nicobar spirit. **Qualifications Required:** - A degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or Apparel Design. - 1-3 years of hands-on experience in menswear design. - A strong understanding of aesthetics, textiles, and sustainable fabrics. - Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel. - A solid grasp of pattern making, construction, and finishing. - A sharp aesthetic eye and an intuitive sense of form, fit, and proportion. - Illustration and Graphic design proficiency is a strong plus.
