Junior Joinery Draftsman

As a Junior Interior Draftsman at iKSANA Engineering & Management Consultants, your role is crucial in creating detailed interior design drawings and ensuring project compliance with regulatory standards. Your responsibilities include drafting interior layouts, collaborating with design teams, and liaising with architects and engineers. Your experience of 3-5 years in the interior fitout field will be valuable in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support in Preparing Technical Drawings - Assist in preparing 2D drawings such as joinery details and shop drawings. - Work under the guidance of senior draftsmen to meet project requirements. - CAD Drafting and Documentation - Use AutoCAD to draft interior layouts and furniture details based on sketches. - Maintain organized CAD files and prepare drawing sets for submission. - Revisions and Redlining - Make drawing corrections as per instructions provided by senior staff. - Maintain drawing revision history and version control. - Coordination and Communication - Coordinate with the design team for project updates and clarifications. - Attend internal meetings to understand project requirements. - Site Measurement and As-Built Support - Assist in preparing basic as-built drawings based on site data. - Learning and Skill Development - Improve knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction details. - Learn to prepare detailed joinery, furniture, and partition drawings. - File Management and Print Preparation - Organize project drawing folders and prepare drawings for printing or digital submission. - Compliance with Standards - Follow company drafting standards and ensure accuracy in all work. **Qualifications Required:** - Technical diploma or degree in Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field. - Proficiency in Drafting and Designing Software (such as AutoCAD, SketchUp). - Understanding of Interior Design Principles and Practices. - Ability to interpret and create detailed design drawings and layouts. - Experience with Project Documentation and regulatory compliance. - Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
