Role overview

Studio Sabr is looking for a Junior Interior Designer with around 3 years of experience to support corporate and hospitality interior projects across Mumbai. The role combines design development with strong documentation, coordination and site involvement.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in concept development, space planning and design detailing for corporate and hospitality interiors.
• Prepare and update CAD drawings, SketchUp models, layouts and presentations as per project requirements and timelines.
• Attend client meetings and site visits across Mumbai and accurately document Minutes of Meetings, notes, decisions and action points.
• Mark up drawings live during client discussions to capture design changes, technical comments and coordination inputs.
• Coordinate with senior designers, project managers, vendors and site teams to ensure design intent is implemented on site.
• Maintain organised project documentation, drawing registers and revision histories for all assigned projects.

Required skills and experience

Approximately 3 years of experience as an interior designer, preferably with exposure to corporate and hospitality projects.

Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp for 2D drawings and 3D visualization, along with basic presentation tools.

Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent documentation and email/letter writing skills.

Strong attention to detail, ability to take clear notes, and translate discussions into precise drawings and documents.

Ability and willingness to commute to multiple project sites within Mumbai as required.

Work conditions

Location: Mumbai – studio and project-site based role.

Work schedule: 6-day working week, with flexibility based on project and site requirements.

Compensation:

Salary will be above industry average for comparable junior interior design roles in Mumbai, commensurate with skills and experience.
