Job Description

Role Overview: You will be part of a global, multi-disciplinary team at HARMAN Automotive, working on innovative technology to transform the future. As an Engineer, you will focus on creating audio systems and integrated technology platforms to enhance the driving experience by combining ingenuity, research, collaboration, design, and engineering excellence. Key Responsibilities: - Manage daily operations for assembly lines producing Connected Car and Car Audio Products. - Monitor production targets, cycle time, and manpower planning to meet demand. - Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions (WI). - Ensure compliance with quality and safety standards such as IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ESD. - Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams to address defects, deviations, and audits. - Support production issue analysis through PPAP, FMEA, and root cause analysis (RCA). - Lead continuous improvement initiatives like Kaizen, Lean, 5S, Poka-Yoke, and SMED. - Drive enhancements in OEE, Productivity, and First Pass Yield (FPY). - Optimize layout and workflow to minimize cycle time and waste. - Monitor and maintain the performance of assembly fixtures, tools, and automated stations. - Coordinate with maintenance for timely breakdown maintenance. - Assist in New Product Introduction (NPI) and equipment validation. - Train operators on new assembly processes, safety procedures, and quality standards. - Ensure adherence to safety policies and promote a culture of zero harm. - Supervise the work and performance of line operators and contract workforce. Qualifications Required: - Diploma/B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or related field. - 2-6 years of experience in assembly operations within automotive electronics. - Familiarity with PCBA manufacturing processes. - Proficiency in SAP PP/MM, MS Office, and data reporting tools. - Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, team coordination, and communication abilities.
