Junior Designer

You are invited to join SD Architects and planners as a Draftsman and be a part of our dynamic team for an enriching career journey. Your responsibilities will include interpreting sketches, rough drawings, or specifications provided by architects or designers to create detailed technical drawings such as plans, elevations, sections, and details. You will be developing drawings by integrating changes and revisions as directed, while adhering to specific drawing conventions and formatting requirements. As a Draftsman, effective communication and collaboration with architects, designers, MEP, and other professionals will be essential to incorporate design requirements and understand project objectives. You will be required to communicate clearly to elucidate design intent and resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise. Additionally, coordinating with team members to ensure seamless integration of drawings across disciplines will be a key aspect of your role. Ensuring quality assurance is crucial, and you will be responsible for conducting thorough reviews of drawings to guarantee accuracy, completeness, and compliance with specifications. Maintaining organized and up-to-date drawing files and records, creating and updating drawing registers, revision logs, and other essential documentation will be part of your daily tasks. Managing drawing archives and retrieval processes efficiently is also expected from you. Continuous learning and development are encouraged at SD Architects and planners. You will be required to stay updated with the latest drafting software and technologies, share best practices, and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the team. Proficiency in software such as Autocad, Excel, Word, and Sketchup (preferred) is essential for this role.
