Junior Content Producer

As a Junior Content Producer at Khatabook, you will play an essential role in conceptualizing, scripting, producing, and supporting end-to-end content creation across social platforms while staying updated with internet culture and emerging trends. Your responsibilities will include: - Ideating and writing short-form scripts for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Ads, and brand campaigns - Actively researching platform trends, formats, memes, hooks, and retention patterns - Assisting in planning, producing, and coordinating shoots, including shotlists, scripting, performance directions, and talent coordination - Acting on-camera when required for UGC-style videos, explainer clips, and trends - Working closely with video editors, graphic designers, and growth/performance teams - Optimizing scripts and edits for storytelling, hooks, and retention - Liaising with internal stakeholders for messaging accuracy - Maintaining brand guidelines across tone, voice, and visual cues - Tracking content performance and iterating based on metrics Qualifications required for this role include: - 1-3 years of experience in content production or scriptwriting, with agency, creator, or startup experience preferred - Proven ability to deliver 50-80 short-form scripts or produced pieces per month, such as reels, shorts, or campaign snippets - Ability to turn around scripts within 48 hours, balancing creativity and speed - Strong grasp of short-form storytelling, hooks, pacing, tone, and structure - Deep understanding of social trends, references, and hooks across platforms - Comfortable with basic video direction, including framing, pacing, scene flow, lighting, and props setup - Skills in version control and asset organization for smooth content management - Focus on improving watch-time, retention, CTR, shareability, and save rates - Confidence in appearing on camera for self-shot or selfie-style sequences - Hands-on experience with production basics such as lighting setup, shot composition, and framing - Strong communication and collaboration skills, with problem-solving abilities under tight deadlines - Organized and detail-oriented, maintaining clarity in versioning and naming conventions - A story-first thinker with curiosity to experiment and evolve with platform trends Bonus skills that would be advantageous for this role include: - Basic editing knowledge (Premiere Pro/CapCut) - Experience writing for influencers or UGC creators - Familiarity with social analytics and content performance metrics - Basic camera handling - Proficiency in regional languages, with Hindi preferred Khatabook is dedicated to empowering India's 60 million MSMEs by providing them with the tools and insights they need to thrive in the digital age.
