Junior Accountant

As a Junior Accountant at our company in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, you will play a crucial role in our finance team by handling various accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with GST and income tax regulations. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a proactive attitude towards learning and growing in the field. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Accounting & Bookkeeping:** - Maintain day-to-day accounting records accurately. - Post and process journal entries to record all business transactions effectively. - **GST Compliance:** - Prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.). - Reconcile GST input and output in a timely manner. - Stay updated with GST law changes and implement them accordingly. - **Income Tax Returns (ITR):** - Assist in preparing necessary documents for ITR filing. - File individual and organizational ITRs under supervision. - Collaborate with auditors and consultants as needed. - **Bank Reconciliation:** - Reconcile bank statements with internal records accurately. - Monitor daily banking transactions for discrepancies. - **Support to Senior Accountants:** - Aid in the preparation of financial statements and reports. - Assist in audits, internal reviews, and maintenance of ledgers. **Required Skills and Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Commerce, BBA, or equivalent. - 02 years of relevant experience. - Working knowledge of GST filing and ITR. - Strong understanding of accounting principles. - Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software like Tally/Busy/Marg (as applicable). - Good communication and organizational skills. - Ability to handle confidential information.
