Jr. Merchandiser

1. To coordinate with the Sr. Merch from sampling till conversion to order.

2. To coordinate with sample department for timely delivery of samples / revised samples.

3. Ensuring successful, time bound implementation of the order received, by taking care of the following:

Confirming the control sample with the buyer before commencing production. This is to be done by way of sending digital images of the sample to the buyer and getting a confirmation or by getting a physical sample from the buyer.

• Coordinating production with the production department and submitting weekly reports on the production status to the Merchandiser /DGM
• Responsible for inspecting the finished goods to ensure quality.
• Ensure that the inspected goods are packed and dispatched for timely shipment.
• Coordinate with the buyer for ascertaining all details of labelling and packaging and other related materials well in advance to facilitate on time inspection and dispatch of the shipment.
• Make arrangements with the Accounts department for placing timely order of the packing materials.
• Submit a completion report for every order to the Merchandiser / DGM / Director.
• Ensure that the sample department creates an archive of all the developed samples.
• Liaise with all the departments for related activities.

4. To plan shipment dates as per buyers’ schedules and interact with Production, Marketing, Shipment and Sample departments to ensure timely shipment and delivery.

5. To interact with buying house agents and buyers on all issues pertaining to samples and shipments, from the receipt of orders until shipments.

6. To take, overall responsibility for the activities of the Merchandising department and to delegate necessary duties and responsibilities to the staff of the concerned department.

7. To create and maintain an archive of the samples with Photos (Photo gallery) along with details of fabric used (swatch of fabric) in order to enable the organization to retrieve it at any point of time for reference.

8. To prepare samples through sample executive and obtain approval from customers.

9. To prepare budget on receipt of orders in consultation with DGM (O) and Sr. Manager Production and obtain approval of the same from relevant authorities.

10. To capable to procure the necessary raw material (Stock yarn / Fabric / Gray Fabric) and arrange for further processing in coordination with Sr. Manager Production.

11. To coordinate with Sr. Manager Production and ensure that stock yarn is sent for weaving with appropriate design and gray yarn is sent for dyeing.

12. To ensure that the production is within the budgeted amount.

13. To coordinate with Sr. Manager Production for cutting and Stitching as per sample / instructions, checking of the finished material and packing as per customer requirement.

14. To coordinate with quality department to ensure the finished goods meets customer requirement.

15. To coordinate with buyer representatives such as auditors and inspectors as and when they visit our unit and ensure our compliance to their requirements through HR.

16. To coordinate with stores for procurement of packing materials, labels etc.

17. To coordinate with buyer representatives on a regular basis to ensure providing quality service including feedback on our products and delivery schedules and keep Sr. Merch / DGM updated.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
