Jr. Automation Engineer

As an Assembly Automation Technician at Jabil, you will be responsible for assembling complex electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic robotic and equipment based on verbal and written instructions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing diagnostic troubleshooting activities on assembly automation equipment. - Making mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs to assembly automation equipment. - Being well versed with Robot programming, including Fanuc, ABB, Kawasaki, etc. - Conducting equipment failure analysis, repairs, and scheduled preventative maintenance on robotic and automated equipment. - Setting up manual and semi-automatic assembly lines and assisting in operating pre-production runs. - Installing new automated equipment and moving equipment to new locations. - Creating new robot programs and editing existing robot programs. - Updating manuals and programs for automated equipment. - Keeping accurate reports of all activities performed on each piece of equipment. - Providing input to the engineering staff on areas for machine improvements. - Setting up and maintaining production maintenance schedule and parts inventory. - Ensuring all software is backed up and up-to-date. - Working with Maintenance and Process Technicians to maintain daily production operations and assembly through preventative and corrective maintenance. - Supporting all company safety and quality programs and initiatives. In addition, you should have the following qualifications: - Ability to use advanced trades mathematics along with the use of complex drawings, specifications, and charts. - Proficiency in using all varieties of precision measuring instruments. - Capable of applying judgment to perform more difficult work with the use of complex drawings, specifications, and charts. - Skill in programming and troubleshooting PLC (programmable logic controllers) and ladder logic. - Ability to read and understand electrical drawings and schematics. You should have 3-4 years of experience in a similar role to be considered for this position.
